A new column coming soon


Part of the media for the Ratcast in 2010 will be one and maybe two new columns for the AIHL website. Ruppy of course wants to report on the goalies in his soon to be names column, and Dave will be the roving reporter with his new column, Rat Tales.

After suffering through a year with a useless website and no This Week in the AIHL, the Ratcast crew of Dave and Ruppy are gearing up to bring the show back to the airwaves.

There will be alot to talk about pertaining to their trip to Orlando for the Finals which were LIVE on ESPN3, as well as the new league website and the upcoming season.

So be sure to check back soon for a brand new Episode of This Week in the AIHL with the Ratcast crew.

Show 1 - Getting the Rust of the Talons

Dave and Rup shake off the rust as they record show one for the 2009-2010 season from an all new Studio D. This show includes a recap of last season's Finals, a look at the new AIHLhockey.com website, new teams, and some games this weekend to kick off the season.

Be warned, Ruppy did not bring his A game and was carried by Dave again. Enjoy.

Show 20 This Week in the AIHL - Eastern Conference Playoff Wrap up

Dave and Rup have safely returned to Studio A from the trip down to Feasterville, PA after covering the Eastern Conference Finals live on Saturday and Sunday June 13 and 14.

They go over all the results from this past weekend, and touch on who will be playing who in the finals in July. Also Dave shows off his new ringtone, while Ruppy breaks out the Break out the Brooms line one last time.

Eastern Conference Finals Wrap Up

Congrats to Steel City in the Elite Division and Scottdale in the Minor Division for winning their respective Titles.

Maryland, Long Island, Holbrook, and Georgia all played well too.

We were hoping for 100 viewers and instead had as many as 1200 people watching you all play live this past weekend.

Show 19 This Week in the AIHL - Playoffs ?

A tired Dave and Ruppy are back after an unscheduled two week break and crawl up to the microphones to bring you show 19. They go over the standings and the playoff matchups, and cover the playoff games already played. There is also a brief NHL playoff discussion as the top seeded Bruins fell to Kentucky in game 7 the night before.

Show 17 This Week in the AIHL - Interview with a Vampire

We had so many interviews and so many stats to cover, we decided to record two shows.

Show 17 is the interview show in which we have Rich Harwood from the Suffolk Sharks join us on the Skype phone to talk everything about the Sharks and the state of roller hockey back in the 60's.

Doug Wallace did four nice interviews with Dave and Daniel Inouye from the San Jose Quakes, Jody McAlpine from the NC Mustangs, and California referee coordinator Will Fortunberry.
